In 2023 Michelle and her husband lost their first grandchild, Charlotte to stillbirth at 27 weeks. After many months of grief, deep sadness, disbelief, anger, and pain for the loss of their granddaughter, and the inconsolable grief her daughter was experiencing, Michelle started to feel God's tug. She wrote a book titled Charlotte's Magic Window which is available on Amazon. She started a ministry for mothers that suffer infant loss, and she named it Charlotte Sprinkles Sunshine. Michelle and her daughter deliver handmade sacks full of goodness to UMC and Midland Hospital once a month. Each sack is filled with handmade items to help bring some light into a dark situation.
